Q: How can I make sure I will like my personalized art?
For portrait individualization, a good quality head and shoulders, cropped photo is preferred. Good detail in the eyes is important. Depending on the lighting, it may be helpful to also include a good description of eye color, hair color, skin tone, etc. Remember... the artist does not know your recipient, so he can only paint what is seen. Clothing colors can be changed, but a smile cannot. If the artist is asked to modify or guess on details, it may adversely affect the quality of the likeness.
